Philosophy of Thai Yoga
Thai
Yoga massage started in Northern India with Doctor Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha,
a contemporary of the Buddha, still honoured in Thailand as the 'father
of medicine'.
Connecting
with the Nadis in Yoga theory, Thai massage is based on the running
of thousands of energy lines carrying life energy (Prana) through
our body and focuses on the main 10 ones, the Sen, which run from the
feet to the head. Along those lines are the most important acupressure
points.
Massaging
these lines and points makes it possible to address a whole range of
diseases or to relieve pains such as back, shoulder
neck pains; blood circulation problem, etc.
